CA – MSE patents a breakthrough technology
for manufacturing. The new process utilizes computer-guided
lasers to cut through OEM welds and increases the
precision and efficiency of cartridge remanufacturing.

This new process was designed to be programmable for various
laser-cutting methods and is currently being used to split
the HP 9000 cartridge. Splitting the HP 9000 now takes
less than 4 minutes and reduces the cut width to less
than 1/100th of an inch. With reduced cut width, cartridges
contacts precisely align once installed in machines. It
also eliminates the need for clips during reassembly.
This process is completely automated which removes human
error and enhances the aesthetic appearance of the product.
According to Yoel Wazana, President of MSE, "The laser
is the first of many new technologies we are working on.
We designed it to be universal and we will be using it
on additional models in the near future. Our patent covers
the process, not just splitting the HP 9000. It will revolutionize
the way toner and inkjet cartridges will be manufactured."
